Essential Oil Diffusers

Choosing the Right Diffuser For You  By B Briggs

What is a diffuser you may ask, well a diffuser is a device that allows some one to take a therapeutic grade essential oil and disperse them so that the natural fragrance fills a room. The benefits are improved physical, mental and emotional well being, with therapeutic benefits to the brain as well. Depending on which oils you are using you may begin to feel the cleansing effect as your body eliminates toxins, negative emotions maybe released, the soothing of muscle tension. There are a number of diffusers each having a different delivery method for dispersing essential oils in to the air.

1 Lamp Rings
A lamp ring is a device that contains a lamp and a ring which can be made from various materials such as metal or ceramic and placed over the lamp with a few drops of oil placed in the ring, the lamp then heats the oil. This type of lamp is not expensive but if any oil comes in contact with the bulb it could break the lamp or start a fire so care must be taken, heating the oil in this manner is less effective and could alter and change the therapeutic benefits of the oil.

2 Candle diffusers
Candle diffusers are similar to lamp rings, the chief difference is the method by which they heat the oil. Most are a clay pot type looking device where water is placed in the burner then a few drops of essential oils and the burner placed over the candle which heats the oil directly, this type of essential oil diffuser must be treated like a candle and not left unattended for fear of starting a fire.

3 Atomizers
If you are new to diffusing then this is a good place to start. Atomizers disperses oils into the air via a fine mist of evaporated water. You can generally use any therapeutic grade oils with this type of model, controlling the strength of the aroma can be done easily by adding more or less oil as needed. They can be plugged in and should be cleaned after every use.

4 Nebulizers
Nebulizers are complex devices that turn oils into vapor, nebulizers disperses a more concentrated aroma in to the air and is more for a serious type of therapy. The essential oil diffuser is used typically for a more targeted emotional treatment, the molecules are broken down into a fine mist and disperse into the air through a glass nebulizer making a hissing sound as the oil infused molecules escaping the glass nebulizer which should be cleaned out after every use.

5 Fan diffusers
Fan diffusers come in a number of models, you can get models that can do a large room or a small space. They can run on batteries or can be plugged in. Fan diffusers do not use heat to release the molecules in essential oils, they do it by blowing cool air through an all natural pad that contains essential oils. These types of fan diffusers can be a little noisy, there is no doubt that aromatherapy offers a number of emotional benefits and choosing the right diffuser can ensure that the therapeutic grade essential oils can do their job and provide targeted therapy.

Life Alignment

The fundamental premise of Life Alignment is that all physicality is created by groups of frequencies vibrating at very high speeds.  This premise is validated at the Smithsonian exhibit in Washington where it is demonstrated that specific laser beams can pass through the human body, and objects, without resistance. Dr Jeff Levin the founder of Life Alignment demonstrates how we can restore imbalances in physicality by balancing or tuning the frequencies that create physicality.  This is as true for our bodies as it is for the land we live on and the space we live in.
Our bodies, the land we live on and the spaces we live in are an integrated system. We are all well aware that deterioration in one part of the system will cause the entire system to deteriorate. What Jeff discovered is that restoration work on the energy field of one’s body might unravel if other parts of the system are out of tune. “In the early nineties I began to realize that the transformational work on people would begin to unravel if they lived on land or in houses that were out of tune. I soon realized that one cannot treat people as if they were insulated from the environment.” This realization led to profound developments in Jeff’s Life Alignment system. “Our genetic bodies and our souls carry the memories of prior lives, and each environment we pass through carries the memory of its own history,” he explains. “We integrate this vast history of the environment and the history of our families and of the people we interact with.  “Not only that,” says Jeff. “We integrate the previous family’s history and the history of the previous family and the previous and the previous.”
“Clearly” says Jeff, “Micro systems exist within larger systems. A disturbance in any component will unbalance the entire system. Energy disturbances, for example, from nuclear testing and electromagnetic radiations have changed many lay lines from positive to negative.” If we live on one of these lay lines our own energy fields become disturbed. A prime source of our own imbalances will be emotional. Negative emotions are experienced in our bodies as interruptions to the smooth functioning of our bodies. These negative emotions may have taken hold at any moment in our existence or from any source.  The impact will be different for each of us but the disturbance to our energy systems can be devastating.
The importance of Jeff’s work extends beyond scientific revelations. It lies in his ability to ‘activate’ and teach others to perform the work of discernment and balancing.   The process of Life Alignment is organic and develops year after year. It involves revealing the source of disturbances in the energy fields in and around our bodies and in any part of the system we live in and then neutralizing or ‘balancing’ the disturbances. the  This work can be done with the client in attendance, or at a distance by using a sample of the clients DNA, for example hair or even plans of the clients home or work-place.   We refer to the energy disturbances as blockages.  Because the blockages can be anywhere in the system we work layer by layer on a priority basis.  Generally but not necessarily the process will begin with an individual Life Alignment. A single balance can be life transforming or the client may need a series of balances.  From there it might proceed to a member of the family or to an aspect of the environment in which the client lives.
Often the most profound life transformation is achieved by removing energy disturbances or blockages in one’s home. We refer to this process as Home Alignment. It is done on a plan of one’s house which becomes a representation of our homes, by intention, or by using hair samples.  We establish the heart center and the particular path along which energy flows in the home. We discern blockages to the free flow of energy into the heart and along the energy pathway. Then we neutralize the blockages.  The source of disturbances may be the land or from the homes history, or may be caused by a member of the household. The process will ultimately clear the way for manifesting positive changes in one’s life.
Home Alignment, Business Alignment, and aspects of Life Alignment employ “Vortex Cards” which are essentially small sheet-magnets prepared by Jeff.  The sheet magnets hold in place particular frequencies that are channeled and stored on the magnets by Jeff. “I am a conduit for energy that comes from another dimension through my hands into the vortex cards. The magnetic plates hold specific frequencies that emit fields of energy connected to the elements of water, fire, earth or air. Specific sheet magnets have been created to transform negative energy patterns into positive frequencies in the body or in the environment.
The sheet magnets or cards as Jeff calls them are also used to balance people and the environment at a distance. Distance healing is profound but does not involve quite the same speed of transformation that we experience from being present and conscious of the process. After balancing one will become more aware of one’s power and we will experience a new sense of flow and harmony in our lives and in our environments. Often family members who were not directly part of the balance will interact more harmoniously – and sometimes there may even be an increase in disharmony as lives and relationship shift and find new equilibrium.
The Home Alignment system is also being extended to bring harmony and balance to businesses, to improve communication and working relationships and to increase health and harmony within the workplace.
Balanced homes are brighter places to live in. Business profits increase. Schools experience larger intakes and improved results. The process is quantum and will positively impact lives way beyond our immediate intention.
We don’t have to transform huge issues in the world to make it a better place; we have only to transform ourselves.

Self discovery through Colour

Aura-Soma - Colour-Care-System ®

The power of colour and its positive influence on our lives cannot be underestimated.
The energies of colour surround us for all to see and feel.

As we respond to the colours around us, moment to moment we may become aware that colour is a key ingredient in how we form our feelings toward something.

Think about it – you may be drawn to the vibrant sunshine yellows, yet your friend may prefer the refreshing shades of green. These choices that we make reflect how our gifts, challenges and character are all entirely unique.
This is why we say  ‘You are the colours you choose’

The Aura-Soma philosophy has universal appeal. Whatever religious, political. social or cultural background we are from, colour can speak to us.

Colour is the key to this non-intrusive, self-selective system. It is an ancient knowledge that has been refound and revitalized into a system easily accessible to all. At this pivotal point in history, Aura-Soma speaks to you through 107 scintillatingly beautiful bottles of rainbow coloured equilibrium oils, pomanders , quintessences and special essences. It uses the visual and non-visual energies of colour, the energies of essential oils and herbal extracts, and the energies of crystals and gems.

An incredible tool is at our fingertips!

Our choice of 4 bottles is a mirror of who we are at a deep level, a reflection of our inner essence and personality. We can discover so much about ourselves.  Bringing to light that which needs to be worked with and overcome, that which may block our developing and expressing our talents and gifts.

Shows that which is right in front of us, that which we are drawing to us and creating for our next step of development and expression.

Through consultation and regular use of the Aura-Soma colour products the “Window of the Soul” approach reveals aspects of self that you can begin to accept and understand, by inducing a de-stressing and harmonious flow within the subtle energy fields and chakra system.

TACHYON AND THEIR HEALING PROPERTIES

Tachyons have been used in a variety of ways to facilitate reconnection with your Higher Self by raising your personal vibrations.

It has long been established that we each have our own vibration that we work within and which seems to influence who we are, molded by our upbringing and the negative / positive influences in our lives. As we become more positive and live a positive lifestyle, miracles happen purely because our brains and chemistry work in a positive manner. It is not always easy to reach this positive state of mind and maintain with the stress and problems we experience.

Meditation is one way that helps to release stress and move us into a more positive state of mind. Prayer, another form of meditation, has similar effects. But how do we still the mind and move into that alternative state where we become a part of all and able to relax without our minds interfering?

MEDITATION: The Tachyon’s first role. Certain Tachyons facilitate meditation by allowing us to relax into the energy field they produce and so enter a state where the brainwaves slow down. Once this state is reached the meditation deepens and can take on specific qualities. Tachyon energy fields are always positive.

PENDANTS: Tachyon energy produced by the Abeiez pendant range affects the body by “loosen-ing” deep seated blocks on an emotional or mental level allowing one to see old ingrained problems from a different perspective, and in doing so slowly releases these blockages. When this is achieved our personal vibration is raised causing us to grow.
This can be equated to the Chaos Theory. The chaos being the blockages held in the body and the order resulting from the release thereof. We cannot attain growth without “Chaos” being involved as it is a fundamental law of the Universe known as “learning your lessons”.

THERAPEAUTIC:  These Tachyons, when used on the body during attunement sessions, do much the same as pendants, but more quickly. They align and energize our chakras passing energy into the Endocrine system and then on to the organs that each chakra influences. This raises the vibration of the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual bodies immediately, allowing them to be in harmony and communicate properly. After the attunement we feel positive, de-stressed, energised, and prepared to participate in our own programs of personal wellness which will inevitably bring us face to face with the spiritual side of our lives.
All of us need to strive to be the highest vibration that we possibly can be and letting go of block-ages is integral to this process.

Therapy sessions and the wearing pendants can be done simultaneously, but it is acceptable to use only one of them. Tachyon energy is intelligent and knows what we require. All it does is deliver positive “faster than the speed of light” energy to our bodies in doses that we can handle to enable us to take charge of our lives in the most positive way that we can.

A MERRY TIPPLE OR TWO

alt

A MERRY TIPPLE OR TWO
By Michele Slabbert of Green Energy Herbals

Ever since someone “accidentally dropped something into something else” and caused a reaction, which induced a sense of euphoria, we have been indulging in a little tipple or two, or three…

As spring exits into the full bloom of summer, the year end celebrations or holidays begin to take hold of the imagination. Evenings become periods of enchantment as the days lengthen, the heat slowly fades through the darkening sky and the world takes on a hue of expectation. While in this island of contemplation take time to breathe out the day with the fading sun by having a delicately flavoured herbal wine in the company of good friends.

This is the time of year we exchange gifts and a hand made one (or part thereof in this case!) adds a personal caring touch – a small gesture with much meaning. We also over indulge somewhat at this time of year so a gift of an herbal wine makes a great deal of sense. You can pour your finished wine into the original bottle adding a fancy cork and your own designed label and you have a simply delicious gift to give to friends.

The simplest way of preparing an herbal wine is to purchase a bottle of good wine. Slightly crush the herbs you are using in a bowl and pour the wine over them. Cover the bowl well and leave at room temperature for 6 to 8 hours. Taste the wine and if you would prefer it a little stronger, repeat the process but with half the amount of fresh herbs. Strain the herbs and pour the wine either back into the bottle or a decanter. The flavour is improved by slightly chilling the wine.

Should you only have dried herbs to use then use this method. Take 100g of your chosen herb to each 5 cups of red or white wine. Chop the herbs finely and place in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Pour the wine over the herbs, close and let steep for 2 to 4 days. Then strain well and bottle.

A useful hint is to remember that the flowers of these herbs are the best to use as the stems and leaves can make the wine bitter. Red, White or Rice wine can be used. Sherry, Jerepigo and Muscadel are also good base choices. When using raisins always blanche in very hot water for a few minutes and then strain well. For each 750 ml bottle of wine a generous handful of raisins is used.

Flowers should be picked on a sunny morning just as the dew has dried. Please ensure that you use organic plants and that no chemicals have been sprayed on them. Remove the green base of the flower heads.

Here are a few ideas to get you started –

Dandelions, Violets, Elderflowers, Calendula, Rosemary and Rose are just some of the herbs that can be used to make a flavoursome beverage.

A small glass of dandelion wine eases indigestion and associated discomfort; Calendula eases stomach cramps or try a gently flavoured rose wine with a dessert.

A deliciously scented rinse can be made by mixing together ¼ cup each of dried lavender flowers, thyme, oregano and dried orange peel. Pour a bottle of white wine over this mix. Stir in well and then cover well – you can use cling wrap if you wish. Leave this for about 2 weeks in a warm place. Strain the liquid and add a tablespoon to either your final hair rinse or those hand wash clothes. This mix can also be taken internally, using a teaspoon in half a cup of lukewarm water to relieve chest ailments.

Rosemary can be used to make a tonic wine, just the tipple needed for a quick pick me up. Place a handful of fresh rosemary, 2 or 3 small cinnamon sticks and 4 or 5 cloves into a container. Crush these slightly, then add 1 tsp ground ginger, a pinch of grated nutmeg to this mix. Pour over a bottle of good quality red wine. Seal and place the jar in a cool place for 7 to 8 days. Do not leave for longer than this. Strain and store in a well sterilised bottle.

Lemon Thyme and Rhubarb wine. Cut rhubarb into small pieces; chop the lemon thyme finely. Pour boiling water over this and then add a small handful of raisins. Cover bowl and allow to get quite cold. Strain this into a bottle of red wine. Should you wish to add a little sugar then mix sugar with the strained plant liquid before adding to the wine. This is a warming and uplifting tipple!

Nettles produce an effective tonic wine made with the young nettle tops. To a good handful of nettle tops add one small lemon pricked with a clove or star anise and a small piece of ginger. Cover with white wine and leave for at least 2 weeks. This is good to use during and after over indulging!

Elderflower Wine is used for hay fever and associated respiratory challenges and can also be used together with other herb wines (such as parsley or mint) as a chest rub to relieve bronchial ailments. You can use either dried or fresh elderflowers. If dried please use whole heads, you do not want crushed flowers. If using fresh, collect on a warm sunny day when the flowers are fully opened. Trim the flowers gently from the stalks. You can add raisins to this mix but first pop them into a bowl of boiling water for a minute or two before adding. Use a white wine for this and should you wish to make the wine stronger, just replace the flowers each day for 3 to 4 days.

Parsley wine makes a really good little tipple. Either red or white wine can be used. A small shot glass as you begin the evening phase of your day’s journey clears the mind. A stronger wine can be stored and used as a tonic during the winter months, but then you need to sieve the wine at least 10 to 12 times before rebottling.

Peaches can be used together with mint to make a crisp wine to have with a dessert, or even as the dessert! All you need is a large tin of peaches, lightly drained. A tablespoon of chopped fresh mint should be sprinkled over the peaches. A white Jerepigo or Muscadel should be used for this one, which also makes a delicious ice cream topping or as a sauce for a baked pudding. Soak the fruit for 48 hours and then remove. Strain well – at least 4 to 5 times before rebottling. The fruit can be used in the baked pudding!

Tea and Raisin Wine; just the tipple for the merry season. Blanche the raisins in boiling water to soften. Use loose black organic or rooibos tea tied in a muslin bag. Do not use teabags. Place in a bowl, cover with a fruity full bodied red wine and allow to stand covered in a warm place for 48 hours. Strain well and rebottle. This tea wine goes well with cinnamon buns.

Lemon Balm with Citrus and raisins is a delightful combination. Use 1 cup of lightly bruised lemon balm leaves, the rind of 1 small lemon and 1 small orange (no pith or fruit), 2 tablespoons of raisins and if you so desire a teaspoon of dark brown sugar can be added. Cover with dry white wine and mix well. Cover and leave to stand for 48 hours. Strain well. This wine is good for indigestion and those bloated feelings

Marigolds soaked in white wine impart a lovely hue reflecting the summer season in all its golden glory. Ensure that you use only the flowers and that no leaves or part of the flower base gets into the wine as this causes the wine to be bitter and unpleasant. Crush 2 cups of fresh or use 1 cup dried petals. Add a sliver of fresh ginger and the roughly chopped thin rind of a very small lemon. Cover with white wine and leave to stand for 12 hours. Strain and bottle.

Rose Petals make an unusual tipple. Gently heat a bottle of white wine (it must never boil) and add 2 cups of rose petals, 2 teaspoons of sugar (optional) and the juice of 1 small lime or lemon. Maintain heat for around 20 minutes and then switch stove off and allow the brew to stand for 12 hours. Strain and bottle. This is delicious with little meringues!

Pomegranate and Barley Wine. Something different! Place the barley in cold water and boil until tender. Strain the liquid extremely well.  Crush the pomegranate fruit and stir into the barley water together with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Add a dry white wine and leave to stand covered for 2 to 3 days. Strain very well and bottle. One can almost see Kronos discoursing with Zeus over this one!

There are so many herbs and fruits that can be used to make these different wines. Many can be made stronger to use medicinally but most are just fun to make, are ideal as gifts and usually create interesting conversations.

I have often given rock crystals on a thong to friends and patients, sometimes I have one on hand that responds to their birth sign but very often not, yet each person has responded to the energy interactions and you can tie this little something extra around your chosen container for a deep personal touch. When seeking a rock crystal for a friend concentrate on that person and you will find that there is always a response from a particular stone. Here are some simple ideas.

Aries             Rosemary or basil                  Garnet or bloodstone
Taurus         Elderberry or Mint                    Coral or Lapis Lazuli
Gemini         Parsley or Marjoram               Topaz or Beryl
Cancer        Chamomile or Rose                Moonstone or Pearl
Leo               Calendula or Juniper              Amber or Garnet
Virgo            Fennel or Lavender                  Moss Agate or Kunzite
Libra            Viola or Dandelion                   Carnelian or Aventurine
Scorpio       Basil or Nettle                           Jasper or Blue Lace Agate
Sagittarius Chrysanthemum or Sage       Sardonyx or Rhodocrosite
Capricorn    Borage or Mullein                    Green Calcite or Obsidian
Aquarius     Thyme or Heartsease             Turquoise or Aquamarine
Pisces         Peppermint or Red Roses     Amethyst or Fluorite
